CALL TO ACTION: GREENBURGH, NY SHOULD HELP GREENSBURG, KS
Release Date: May 07, 2007

A number of residents have contacted me expressing interest in having Greenburgh residents help the tornado victims of a community with almost the same name -- Greensburg, KS . A deadly tornado struck southwestern Kansas destroying most of the Town of Greensburg. The American Red Cross is preparing safe shelter, food, relief services for those affected by the tornado.
There are a number of ways to help:
You can visit the site: www.redcross.org.
You can send a contribution to the American Red Cross, Westchester County Chapter, 106 North Broadway, White Plains, NY 10603 or send a contribution to the National Headquarters of the Red Cross, 2025 E Street, N.W. Washington, DC 20006.
In the coming days I may learn of other opportunities for people to help. If you are interested in being advised of local Greenburgh efforts to help a sister community - please e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com. If you would be interested in helping organize a local community outreach effort, please advise.
