Applications are being accepted for the Eileen Fisher Leadership program for girls going into 9th grade. The program will run for five days (July 29 through August 2) and will focus on introducing

girls to the core practices of the Eileen Fisher Leadership Institute including creativity,

confidence, connection, and community. Throughout the five days, participants will engage

in hands-on workshops, meet local young women leaders (including some EFLI alumni)

and be introduced to the EILEEN FISHER leadership practices.

“We’ve found that the summer between eighth and ninth grade is a critical transitioning

moment. EFLI provides support for young women to grow into the next phase of their lives

so this is a logical next step for us,” says Program Director, Antoinette Klatzky. “The thing I

am perhaps most excited about is the involvement of EFLI alum as leaders within INTRO

to EFLI. It gives these young women a chance to re-engage with the program and become

peer leaders in the Westchester community.”

Since the 2010 pilot of EFLI’s core program, Activating Leadership, EFLI has been steadily

growing and now offers four programs running concurrently throughout the summer. In

addition to INTRO to EFLI and Activating Leadership, EFLI continues to offer Leading for

Impact, a five week intensive in which returning participants work to turn their ideas into

action and the LiFe Fellowship, bringing together a select group of recent high school

graduates to practice peer leadership. Through each of these programs, the Eileen Fisher

Leadership Institute continues to promote leadership in young women through selfempowerment,

connection with others and activism in the community.

Applications for INTRO to EFLI can be found online at www.efli-life.org. Applicants are

asked to mail their completed applications to Eileen Fisher Leadership Institute, 2 Bridge

Street, Irvington, NY 10533, (or e-mail them in) by July 2, 2013. For any questions, please

contact Program Coordinator Aimee Aubin at 914-487-3354 or info@efli-life.org
