RALLY AGAINST HATE TOMORROW...ANOTHR HATE INCIDENT
Release Date: September 24, 2017

RALLY AGAINST HATE THIS SUNDAY FROM 4 PM TO 5 PM--WOODLANDS COMMUNITY TEMPLE , 50 WORTHINGTON ROAD

ANOTHER INCIDENT YESTERDAY IN THE ARDSLEY SECTION OF UNINCORPORATED GREENBURGH
POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING AND FOLLOWING UP ON LEADS

The incident yesterday that is highlighted below highlights the importance of the rally against hate  co-sponsored by the Greenburgh Human Rights Committee, Town of Greenburgh, community civic and religious leaders from the area. The event will take place at Woodlands Community Temple, 50 Worthington Road from 4-5 PM Sunday. Please show up and join many others who want to highlight the fact that our community will NEVER tolerate acts of hate --against anyone.

The Greenburgh Police department sent out the following media release advising of an Anti Semitic and racist graffiti act at a construction site in unincorporated Greenburgh. I have received some phone calls and e mails from concerned residents. I want to reassure the community that this is being taken very seriously. We are not taking this act lightly and will not tolerate any acts of hate in our town.

In August I had received a very disturbing hate mail and threat directed at me. The Greenburgh Police department did a great job investigating the incident. They made an arrest. I was very impressed with the professionalism, quick action  and abilities of the Greenburgh Police department and know that they will do whatever they can to find those who are guilty of committing any hate crime. They are following up on all leads.  We have a great police department!

The incident described below is not just about hateful graffiti. This kind of hate is horrible because it does not represent the Greenburgh way of life.  Our community values diversity. We will never tolerate hate against anyone --religious, sexual orientation, ethnicity. A hate crime against one group is considered a hate crime against the entire community. We must all live together and respect each other.
