Governor's office announces- Saw Mill River Road to be repaved!!!!
Release Date: March 07, 2019

Very excited. Last year 36  Greenburgh student interns spent the entire summer lobbying NYS to repave Saw Mill River Road. They met with representatives of the NYS Department of Transportation. Met with our State Senator, Andrea Stewart Cousins and Assemblyman Tom Abinanti. They organized on line petitions. Wrote letters, called officials and did much more.  Students can make a difference! It’s great to feel that we’re being listened to!

Just got the following good news---NYS will repave Saw Mill Road!!!!

So necessary.  But, more has to be done. Last week I received a letter from the NYS DOT indicating that Dobbs Ferry Road will be repaved (they did not say when). And, Hillside is scheduled to be repaved this year.

There are other NYS roads that need to be repaved –located in Greenburgh. Am planning to meet with the Westchester delegation to the NYS Legislature tomorrow at Greenburgh Town Hall to continue the lobbying effort.

Supports 91 Harsh Winter Paving Initiative Projects Across New York State

Funding Complements the $100 Million Already Committed for Local Paving Projects This Year Under the PAVE NY Program

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced $128 million in new State funding for renewing State roadways impacted by this year's harsh winter weather. Funding will support 91 paving projects and the renewal of approximately 1,000 lane miles of pavement across the state, including at least one project in every county and the City of New York. The new funding, provided through the PAVE NY Initiative, complements $100 million previously committed earlier this year for local projects that renew approximately 3,700 lane miles of road across New York State. This unprecedented infrastructure investment will make state highways safer and more efficient, while encouraging local commerce and tourism. The projects announced today will begin this spring and will be completed later this year.

Mid-Hudson Valley

Approximately $19.8 million in projects to renew 91 lane miles of the following roads in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster and Sullivan counties:
